|||i wonder too.
f*ck the licensing EA lime vapour is my favourite boot :)|||they are in the game, modric wears them for spurs|||i wish EA would sort this also and just give us the option to put any boot thats in the game onto our VP's.....|||So why can't we assign them to certain players? This was the same in FIFA 10 too. Jesus Navas and Luis Fabiano had a certain type of Nike boot - they were not on the edit list though. I know it's an incredibly minor feature but it's irritated the hell out of me considering they are in the demo on almost every single player and most players in real life.|||i dont know but i can assure you that people who are supposed to have specific coloured boots have them, but in edit mode you only have 3 or 4 nike, but tons of adidas|||I used to work for Nike. They're pretty big on Marketing. Each boot we see and each colourway is assigned to a specific period of time. Beyond this time period, they do not market/promote that particular colour anymore. Letting games etc. have licenses is all to do with marketing and as such, FIFA will not be allowed to have old colourways of any boots in their game, neither as DLC. They just don't allow it. The lime greens happened to be the current colour at the time of the demo. For this season, the colour for Mercurials will be the red/pink ones, hence their appearance in the full game as opposed to the lime greens. Adidas are more forgiving in boot colours etc and they will have several out at the same time and they will all be current. This, coupled with the fact that FIFA and Adidas are alligned somehow means that we get more Adidas boots in the game.
Certain players are chosen to promote specific colours though which is why there are often exceptions. Basically EA's hands are tied. If they did anything else, like allow you to assign ANY boots to your VP, nIke would just pull their product completely from the game....|||Can we get an answer from EA please? If they're not in the game right now, can they add them in. Plenty of threads here moaning about it actually. No point adding the boots if they're not in the edit list for us to put on other players. :)|||

Very disappointing. Nike shouldn't have allowed them in the demo if they were planning on releasing a new type of boot then. It causes EA grief.|||Those Adidas F50 boots with the pink laces were sweet! Nani was wearing them today at Bolton.
I will be using them or the Nike Vapors.|||

Nani's sponsored by Nike and they weren't Adidas, they were the new Nike one's that Lennon, Marin and others have in the game.|||

...right:
Try again.
|||Oh look! You can even see the little Adidas logo on the inside heel of his left foot! Gee Whiz!|||

This.
Nike are strict as hell with marketing and dont budge an inch when asked for any leeway.
EA dont stand a chance against the sporting world giants.
