I'm getting sick and tired...when losers decided to quit the game when losing in a fifa 11 head to head online game......this one time i was leading like 4-0 before half-time ....and this bugger i'm playing with decided to quit....and he doesn't get penalised...WTF?
4 - 0 at half time is a tuffy… you aint coming back from that are you? I would be far more p**** with the guy who does it at 1 – 0. You are right though mate quitting is a big problem and is stupid as its so easily addressed you simply dock a reasonable amount of points for it incidentally as an average player I would like some credit for getting my az kicked and humiliated on a regular basis and staying till the bitter end EA.|||yeah....EA or whoever should do something about it......like deduct the points of the losing oppenent who quits the game and reward the winning team with some points....|||The punishment for quitting is obvioulsy not a harsh enough.
They're going to lose anyway and they obviously dont care about their DNF %.
I would suggest a half hour to an hour ban if you quit and its no doubt that you've quit rather than connection problems. You can't play a ranked game for half an hour to and hour, unranked you can play all you want.
EA need to stamp out quitting, my main reason is that you cant save replays from game which have been quit and I scored a 40 yard freekick yesterday which is gone forever!|||Put my mind to getting the 100 ranked matches the last few days, and ever since I've encountered so many quitters for some reason. You can literally waste an hour of game time without finishing a match. And previous poster is right, if you get to 3-0 or above then if you're playing the type of person that quits they probably think 'it's a 3-0 loss anyway, so why not', but I've had people quitting at 1-0 and 2-0.. I mean really? Sometimes you can get 2 back in 5 minutes on this game so why not tough it out??|||

People play to win, rather than actaully just enjoy playing the game. You dont see teams walking off the pitch in the Premiership at half time cos they're 3 nil down!|||I've noticed it alot more in FIFA 11, however hopefully when UT arrives they'll stop the quiting as they'll get less multiplyer.

Unless they crank up the amount of coins you lose when quitting I can't see people being that bothered about a few 100 coins here and there if UT 10 was anything to go by.|||Have you guys ever thought of all the players being thrown out of games because of getting disconnected (PS3 especially). I've had lots of disconnections myself, more than once followed by opponents accusing me of quitting and calling me whatever they could think of :).

If they pause after you scored and then connection lost appears: they defo quit on you :)|||Sorry to just be pushing Pes, and pushing pes but I have not had one person quit, even when I lose Im not even angry as it is my fault, its my error that has let him in as opposed to the countless weird glitches we see in FIFA, I am truly amazed at the difference, its not a pain, i dont get frustrated even if I lose, its disappointing, but its not the rage I used to feel playing FIFA, its not that feeling of being cheated.
I cannot praise PES enough.|||Played a guy the other night, i was four nil down at half time, i don't quit, it's not his problem he owned me in that first half :).
I lost the game 5-3 which in my mind reads like this, lost the first half 4-0 won the second half 3-1 :)

Here, here. The same thing happened to me not so long back. If my memory serves me correctly, I was 4-0 up in the second half, credit to my opponent for sticking at it and turning up after half-time. Midway through the second half Ashley Young connected fairly sweetly and his 40 yard arrow nestled nicely in the top corner, resulting in an opponent pause/an opponent exit...
... I was never to see that beautiful moment again.|||

I can fully understand that COULD be the case (being disconnected), which is probably why they decided not to put heavy penalties on them. But for me 100% of "disconnects" have happened in the last few minutes of a game. Once during penalties n even after final whistle! Read into that what u like.
I'm not a pro at fifa, in fact its my first month of fifa, having had played pro evo since my fingers spouted from these things i call hands. I'm going off topic now... but what im saying is, im not difficult to beat, and when i lose I take it like a man.
To be honest, I dont blame them, I probably would quit myself - but personally couldnt bear the thought of tarnishing my 0% DNF. Now correct me if im wrong but in the career mode, when you forfeit a game you automatically concede 3 goals. Surely if that's was replicated for online mode, it would solve the issue.
And should the day come when u genuinely lose connection, get a better router! or deal with conceding 3 goals. Either way there will be less people complaining! And far better quality for online gaming (I dont mean to anger anybody, but if you cant uphold a good internet connection you shouldn't play, it ruins it for everyone else. Consider buying Powerline HomePlug adapters)
Now here's a question, how do u play a quick ranked match where u can filter out those with DNF's of 5% and above? If it exists someone point me in the direction, if it doesnt exist, get this message across to the geniuses at EA Sports (i do mean that sincerely, the game is awesome!!!)
